Sunday Setlist

It is You- E (Newsboys-ish)
Everlasting God- A (mix between Tomlin/Brewster)
I Stand Amazed- F (Passion Version)
No Sweeter Name-G (Kari Jobe)

Unchanging (Tomlin)

A solid morning of worship. "It is you" started things off nicely by bringing the attention right to God, both lyrically and in the style of the song. The transition between the chorus and bridge builds the energy up rather well for a mid-tempo song. I'm continually blessed to hear someone comment each week we sing a hymn that there's a great blend at Vista of contemporary and traditional songs. Todd did a great piano transition from the key of F up a full step to G that kept the flow going.

This was our last week with Teresa, and even though she'll be back around during school breaks, we will miss her while she starts college up in NY. "Unchanging" was a new song for me, but coming out of the message it was a good response song that was really singable and familiar to the church. And how great was it that the video was so powerful it got applause as praise to God for living out love through us, not just on Sunday mornings but throughout the week!
