Sunday Setlist

Your Grace is Enough (Maher)
At the Cross (Renstrom)
From the Inside Out (Hillsong)
Come Thou Fount Come Thou King (Gateway)

You Never Let Go (Redman)

All morning we were rejoicing because the amazingly positive attitudes that everyone held during a difficult sound issue rehearsal. This is the speaker that normally puts out sound:

But for some unknown reason due to technical problems, our normal speakers decided to make everyone sound like they were singing through a walkie-talkie. So, thanks to our amazing sound and tech servants, this is what ended up saving the day:

Yet another praise was our solid Thursday rehearsal, which meant we only had to run through the set once after we addressed sound issues before the service. "Your Grace is Enough" was particularly strong to begin the morning upbeat. Todd did a great job sharing from his heart to transition into "At the Cross", which was new to me, but yet again familiar to the church, so I was grateful Todd took the melody on it as I continue to learn the song.

Sadly because the speakers weren't giving much high end, Josh's lead on "From the Inside Out" didn't come through as strong as it had in rehearsed. I'm always amazed at how songs during worship connect with the message even though it was for the most part unintentional. One of Pastor Van's passing points was an invitation for God to change us from the inside out, which is exactly what we had sung during worship. "Come Thou Fount Come Thou King" was very single singable, both the hymn verses and added chorus, and ended the worship set on a strong note going right into Greg's great pastoral prayer.

Lastly, I've been thankful for the way the team really listens for the shortened version of the response song, especially since we had to cut down "You Never Let Go" to V1, PC, C, B, B, C, C.
